The photographer of the week: Amy Merrick. Amy works as a floral designer and stylist and lives in Brooklyn, New York. Her website is clean, modern, beautiful and depicts her styling in a way I'm sure she's proud of - and her blog - An Apple a Day chronicles her life as she ventures around the country designing venues with her floral decor talents. She also photographs other things - her various travels in Europe and the United States and food (gorgeous food photography) - as seen on her flickr page - and here are some of her photos.
Photographer Sivan Askayo created this series titled “Intimacy Under the Wires,” which photographs laundry lines from below.
Her travel photography makes me want to jump on a plane and head directly to another country. Here are a few photographs of Buenos Aires:
Stay Here of the week - Camp Wandawega - located 90 miles from Chicago in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This peaceful, lakeside, wooded retreat sits on 25 hidden acres and has been a "friends and family" getaway for years only opening up for rental "on a trial basis" this spring. It was also rated as one of the United States top six camp retreats by the London's Guardian newspaper.
There's a vintage boy scout tent rental - 3 canvas tents set around a camp fire, a two bedroom cabin, a one bedroon log cabin, a three bedroom cabin and the latest addition: a modern, vaulted-ceiling treehouse. Also, on the property is a main lodge, a three story hotel, an archery range and various other camplike activities.
The owners David Hernandez and Tereasa Surratt (author of A Very Modest Cottage and Found, Free and Flea) have done an amazing job with their camp. You can rent it here.
I found this cute food blog called KeKe by Kirra Jamison of Melbourne, Australia. Kirra shares recipes and photos and started her blog while living in Tokyo, Japan.

Oh, yeah. There's an interview with me chatting about the Ace Camps in this issue of UPPERCASE. Thank you to Christina and Janine. (I really appreciate it)
Tif and I launched a workshop with dottie angel a few days ago. You can read about it on dottie angel's blog and find out about the deets right here. Seattle here we come!
oh...and...these tumblrs are pretty special:
